📖 This Week's Story

Lent is starting! In Greek, we call it "Sarakosti" — forty days. For forty days before Pascha, we try to grow closer to God. Fasting doesn't mean going hungry! It means choosing to give up something to make room for God. In Greece, many families eat simpler food during Lent — no meat, sometimes no dairy. But kids can fast in their own way! You could give up extra screen time and pray instead. You could choose to be extra helpful at home. You could share more with friends. Lent is about making your heart a little bigger, a little kinder, every day.
