📖 This Week's Story

Forty days after Pascha, Jesus took his disciples to a mountaintop. He had been with them for forty days after his resurrection, teaching and being together. Jesus said: "Don't be worried. I will send you the Holy Spirit to be your helper. And remember — I am with you always." Then Jesus rose up into the sky, higher and higher, surrounded by light. A cloud received him, and the disciples stared in wonder. Two angels appeared: "Why are you looking at the sky? He will return!" This is called the "Analipsi" — the Ascension. Jesus is in heaven, but he is also always with us.
